Ink annotations and handwriting are converted to SVG images. Colors are preserved; spatial position relative to text is not.

Common questions about OneNote migration.

Ink and handwriting are converted to static SVG images and appended at the bottom of each page. Colors and strokes are preserved. Spatial position relative to text is not kept, but the content comes across.
Only during migration — content sits in encrypted temporary storage and is deleted immediately after. We never retain your notes.
Microsoft Graph API cannot access password-locked sections. Those pages are skipped and noted in the report.
Yes. Sub-pages appear in the tree and each counts as one page.
Speed depends on notebook size. Both Microsoft and Notion enforce API rate limits that cap throughput. We push to the maximum each platform allows. If progress appears to stall, it's usually a rate limit cooling off. These pauses can last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour depending on which API we hit. The migration resumes automatically. You'll get an email when everything is done, so feel free to close the tab.
Please wait until the migration finishes. Deleting pages from OneNote mid-job can cause the migration to fail, since our worker may try to fetch a page that no longer exists. Deleting pages from Notion will move already-migrated content to the Notion trash, which you'd need to restore manually. Once the migration is complete and you've verified everything looks right in Notion, you're free to clean up either side however you want.
Yes — Note Bridge supports migration from Microsoft 365 work and school accounts. Your organization's IT administrator may need to approve Note Bridge before you can sign in. If you see a "Need admin approval" message from Microsoft, ask your admin to review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, then approve Note Bridge in the Microsoft Entra admin center.
